Greater transparency and control in automated material flow

In automated material flows, it is becoming increasingly important not only to execute processes, but also to monitor them in real time and control them precisely. Incorrectly positioned parts, undetected deviations or incomplete containers can quickly lead to disruptions.

With the robot-assisted KASTOsort - Vision Options, you can expand your system with intelligent camera systems that address precisely these requirements. They record, analyse and monitor relevant process data directly during ongoing operation, without additional manual checks.

Both IP cameras for system monitoring and industrial camera systems are used, for example directly on the robot gripper. These enable precise detection of workpieces, positions and statuses within the material flow.

Typical functions include:

  • DMC recording (Data Matrix Code) for clear identification
  • Container position detection for optimising stacking patterns
  • Part analysis and position detection for reliable gripping processes
  • Real-time process monitoring
  • Integration into existing automation solutions

The result: greater process reliability, a better data basis and targeted optimisation of your operations.

The advantages of the KASTOsort - Vision Options at a glance

For which applications and industries are the Vision Options suitable?

KASTOsort - Vision Options are used wherever processes need to be visually monitored, analysed and optimised. Especially in automated material flows, the additional sensor technology helps to make operations more transparent and more robust.

Typical applications include the detection and analysis of workpieces, the monitoring of containers and the optimisation of gripping and sorting processes. Camera systems also offer a decisive advantage for more complex requirements, such as identifying individual parts using codes or checking stacking patterns.

In practice, this means: greater process reliability, fewer unplanned downtimes and better controllability of processes.

The solution is used, among other areas, in mechanical and plant engineering, in the steel and metal trade and in automated metalworking. Especially in these industries, where large quantities of material have to be moved efficiently, visual process monitoring provides greater control and stability.
