KASTO feed magazine

The KASTO feed magazine is a material feed device that is specially designed to hold up to four material bars with different shapes and dimensions. The material is transported transversely via the tried and tested KASTO saw-tooth stroke system, which enables precise and reliable positioning.

A special feature of the feed magazine is the gentle transfer of the bars. This is achieved by placing them gently onto a magazine roller conveyor, which prevents damage to the material. The roller conveyor is equipped with driven transport rollers that offer an adjustable speed of 0 to 15 m/min. This speed can be frequency-controlled and synchronised automatically with the machine's feed gripper. A light barrier automatically switches the transport speed, making operation efficient and safe.

In semi-automatic operation of the system, it is possible to place material directly onto the magazine roller conveyor in order to saw bars with a larger diameter. Remaining bars are automatically pushed onto a storage pile when the magazine is cycled. All operating elements of the material feed unit are integrated into the machine, making operation simple and intuitive.
