KASTO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG - Schalkau

At the beginning of the 1990s, KASTO founded a branch plant in Schalkau, Thuringia. Today, the KASTO plant stands for the assembly and production of small to medium-sized KASTO metal sawing machines for straight and mitre cuts.

In Schalkau, these machines are also completed with the corresponding feeding and automation equipment according to customer requirements.

Furthermore, the Schalkau site produces storage towers for long goods and sheet metal as well as the stacking yokes that are widely used in the steel trade. Since the Schalkau site has been continuously expanded, the usable hall area is currently 8,020 m², of which assembly and storage take up around 7,600 m². In addition to hacksaws, band saws and circular saws, block or plate band saws and vertical mitre band saws are now also manufactured here.
