KASTOoptisaw is a cutting optimization and selection of the corresponding sawing machine considering the machine parameters (cutting width, minimum clamping length etc.) and considering the valid boundary conditions: Material geometry, sawing machine parameters and much more. It is possible to define the minimum recovery length in order to avoid too short remainders. The optimization goals are:
- small amount of waste
- as few matieral movements as possible
- Place of storage of goods
The optimization tool generates one or more cutting plans that contain the order item sequences determined from the optimization result. The cutting plans are displayed graphically, including mitre cuts.
Once the cutting plan has been created, the order parameters can be transferred to the sawing machine (depending on the PLC). This allows the operator to start the cut very easily without having to enter any parameters, significantly reducing the error rate.
